Alinity Divine
Alinity was referenced in a lawsuit against Twitch. Erik Estavillo, a Twitch viewer from California filed a civil lawsuit demanding damages in the amount of $25 million from Twitch due to their exposure to "overly suggestive and sexual content by female streamers" during their use of the site. Dexerto obtained court documents that reveal the plaintiff who has previously fought Microsoft Sony Nintendo Blizzard in addition to Blizzard had submitted a formal complaint June 15. Twitch received an official summons from the court on 19th June. Estavillo is an individual who, according to his complaint in Santa Clara Superior Court of California which was filed on June 15 was suffering from obsessive/compulsive problems including sexual addiction as well as other illnesses that require him to depend solely on the internet to stay entertained. The complaint further claims that Twitch exacerbates these conditions. According to the complaint "the female streamers remain exposed to Twitch viewers who want to be entertained by watching people play video games but are instead confronted with sexually addicting material and content on a regular every day basis." With the exception of Alinity, these include in the request for relief the complaint seeks to have all streamers mentioned above to be permanently barred for violating Twitch's TOS, along with $25 million dollars "to be split equally between the plaintiff as well as others Twitch Prime Turbo users," while any extra money will be distributed to various charities.
