Vinita Nair
She joined ABC News in July 2004 and reported across a variety of things, including the Jon Benet Ramsey murder investigation as well as the school shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair was commissioned as a reporter for ABC News in December 2007 as a anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now. In her capacity as a correspondent, she provided live reporting and briefings to ABC's channel. Nair worked as a co-anchor on World News Now, America This Morning and ABC's digital network beginning on September 17th of 2008 until February 18th, the 18th of February. In both programs, she was partnered first alongside Jeremy Hubbard then later Rob Nelson. On the 17th of February in 2011, Nair announced that Friday, February 18 would be her final broadcast night at World News Now. She announced that her last day at ABC News would be Friday, February 18. Peggy Bunker, a former anchor at KDVR Denver, was her immediate successor. World News Now, February 18 was a tribute to Nair. Both former and current colleagues appeared in the segments. She treated the crew to breakfast that was hot at the end of her day.
