Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born 25th August, 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. She also was an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her distinctive hairstyle and her pumped up appearance, offers simple techniques that anybody can learn. Chef Burrell has also worked at several of the most prestigious restaurants within New York, studied the food culture and culinary traditions of Italy as well as competed in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love of cooking and food early on. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her following her graduation with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an amazing opportunity for me. I couldn't learn enough couldn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. The time she spent in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate Italian way of life and its culture which has had an impression on her culinary perspective. Burrell was an Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board members, which strives to improve the lives of children who face obstacles. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation (JDRF) celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of children's diabetes. As a speaker, she makes trips across the country to talk about her love of food and her culinary career. Anne declared that she felt fortunate to be able to share her true passion with the people around her.
